The festival celebrating the importance of the Peony to Van Wert began in 1902 when the first Sunday in June was designated as "Peony Sunday."Because of its impact on the world with the Peony the community became widely known as the "Peony Capital of the World." 

Along with the Peony show will be ArtRageous on Main where artwork of many is on display.  There are also food vendors for you to enjoy.  For the kids there is a petting zoo and pony rides.

Don’t miss the craft show, antiques and flea market or the Cruise In, the Quilt Show or the music in the park for your enjoyment.

On Saturday you will be able to join in the Fishing Derby, take the Garden Landscaping tour or continue experiencing the art show.  All afternoon there is music to entertain you.
