Is there anything as wonderful as fresh apples in the fall of the year?  There is apple cider, apple butter, apple pies, apple dumplings and anything else you can think of with apples at the Van Wert County Apple Festival.  This celebration is held the middle of October when the apple crop has come in and they are at their prime.

The festival will offer free entertainment daily along with outdoor cooking, crafts, exhibits, caramel corn, sandwiches, chili and a whole lot more.  There will be a mile fun run, Gospel music, dance exhibits, glass blowing and antique tractor pull.

Children’s Games – Tent at South End of Commercial Bldg (Kingsley Church)

Pony Rides

Mile Fun Run – North Gate – Saturday – 11:00am

Flu Shot Clinic – Friday Evening & Saturday Morning (If supply available)

The festival runs on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon on Friday to 9 pm and then from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds, 1055 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, OH 45891
